Wyn Enterprise: Installing using Docker

You can install Wyn Enterprise on the docker hub using the available docker image.

  1. Prepare a Linux server, where Docker is already installed.
For installing Docker, please refer https://docs.docker.com/install/linux/docker-ce/ubuntu/ link.

  2. Pull the latest docker image by running following command.

    docker pull grapecityus/wyn-enterprise

  1. Create and start a docker container by running the following command.

    sudo docker run --name wyn -p 51980:51980 -e HOST_NAME="{host_ip_address}" -d grapecityus/wyn-enterprise

Wyn Enterprise is now installed. You can visit the portal of Wyn Enterprise here: http://{server_ip_address}:51980.

Note :

  • Restarting the Docker image will cause a revert to the Trial License.
  • On creating a new docker container, the data stored in the database gets lost.

To retain the data on creating a new docker container, you should use an external postgresql server or mount an external volume, as follows:

  • To use an external database server, specify the server's connection information using environment variables.
    For example:

    sudo docker run --name wyn -p 51980:51980 -h "wyn-portal" -e HOST_NAME="{host_ip_address}" -e DB_PROVIDER="Postgres" -e DB_HOST="{database_server_ip_address}" -e DB_PORT=dbserver_listening_port -e DB_USER="dbserver_user" -e DB_PASSWORD="db_user_password" -d grapecityus/wyn-enterprise

Note : The options available to use for the DB_PROVIDER environment variable are "Postgres", "MySQL", and "SqlServer". The database server needs to be configured to connect using TCP connections.

  • To mount an external volume, specify the location of external volume.
    For example:

    sudo docker run --name wyn -p 51980:51980 -h "wyn-portal" -e HOST_NAME="{host_ip_address}" -v /postgresql_data:/var/lib/postgresql/data -d grapecityus/wyn-enterprise
